What is a Match on Langmate?

A Match occurs when two users send a Friend Request to each other. You can match by swiping right or tapping the Friend Request icon on a user’s card. Once matched, you can immediately start messaging!

When 2 users have sent each other a Friend Request

A Match happens when 2 users sent a Friend Request to each other.
When you are visiting a user Card and you tap the Friend Request icon or swipe right, you will send a Friend Request to this user. If they already sent you a Friend Request as well, the two of you will match!
A popup will appear giving you the choice to send a message now or continue to swipe.

How to match from the Friend Requests list:

1. Go to the Messages section and tap the Friend Requests tab.
2. Browse the list of users who have sent you a request.
3. Tap on a profile picture to check their full profile (PREMIUM or PLUS+ plan may be required).
4. Tap the Friend Request icon or swipe right to match!

You may need PREMIUM or PLUS+ to see the profile of the users who sent you a Friend Request.
