How to Send a Friend Request in Langmate

In Langmate, sending a “Friend Request” is done by sending a Smile. When both users send a Smile to each other, a Match is created, and you become friends.

Steps to Connect with New Friends

Follow these simple steps to send a friend request and start communicating.

1. Find a User

Browse through user cards on the Match screen, or use the “Local people” feature to find users from specific countries or regions.

2. Send a Smile (Friend Request)

When you find someone you want to talk to, simply swipe right on their card or tap the Smile button. This acts as your friend request to let them know you are interested.

3. Get a Match

If the user accepts your request by sending a Smile back to you, it is a Match! You are now successfully connected as friends.

What Happens After Matching?

Once you are successfully matched with someone, the messaging feature is unlocked.

Start Chatting

You can find your new friends in your “Messages” list. Tap on their profile to start exchanging text messages, voice messages, and photos safely.
